SPECIAL REPORT TO THE DIRECTORS OF
BLUE SQUARE LIMITED
We have been engaged by the Directors of Blue Square Limited to review the basis of selection of balls in the Lucky Squares game running at the website http://www bluesq.com, to confirm that every ball has an equal chance of being drawn.
The operation of the Lucky Squares game is the responsibility of the Directors of Blue Square Limited. Our responsibility is to review the basis of selection of balls in the Lucky Squares game. When a Lucky Squares game is played, 6 balls are selected from the set of balls used.
The Lucky Squares game is specified to operate so that, each time the game is played, every possible selection of 6 balls from the set of balls used is equally likely to be selected, and every ball has an equal chance of being drawn.
Management has provided us with log files containing records of balls selected in the Lucky Squares game for the period 1 May - 31 October 2003. We have selected and performed a number of standard statistical tests on these records. These tests have been selected to provide reasonable assurance that the game is operating as specified above. Based on these tests, we confirm that every possible selection of 6 balls from the set of balls used is equally likely to be selected, and every ball has an equal chance of being drawn.
