Twice the Twenty20 cricket betting for English fans
The World Twenty20 in South Africa has offered some great cricket betting
action so far and with England looking to regain their form in the Super Eights,
there’s another two days of big-hitting cricket in store.
Dropped catches were to blame for England on Sunday as they fell to a 19-run defeat against
hosts South Africa.
Albie Morkal was the hero for South Africa as his 43 from 20 balls steered the hosts
from 94-6 to 154-8. Morkal also hit three consecutive sixes although Paul Collingwood
was left rueing two drops that could have had the South African’s rocking.
England couldn’t chase down that total and so the cricket betting attention
now turns to this week’s ‘double header’ in Durban, with both India
and New Zealand facing England in the space of 24 hours.
New Zealand are the first opponents for England on Tuesday, fresh from their 10-run
victory over India on Sunday.
New Zealand go into the meeting as favourites as the first seed from Group C, although
they did suffer a defeat to the impressive looking Sri Lankan’s in the initial
group stage.
Daniel Vettori is showing some fine form and it was his spinning that saw New Zealand
defend their 190-run haul.
Following Tuesday’s meeting, England have yet another tough task as they face
a familiar adversary in India on Wednesday evening.
After seeing-off India in the NatWest series less than two weeks ago, confidence
for an England victory within the cricket betting markets may be high although the
likes of Luke Wright and Darren Maddy will have to start improving with their batting
performances, otherwise England may be going home earlier than expected.
Captain Paul Collingwood has set England a target of victory in both games if England
are to progress to the semi-finals following two consecutive defeats, but with two
England matches in just two days, there’s bound to be some interesting twists.
Make sure that you place your bet on cricket this week before you miss out on some
top Twenty20 cricket betting action!
