Kauto & Miko Centre of Attention for Racing Betting Punters

The Red Square Vodka Gold Cup takes centre stage in this weekend’s horse racing betting from Haydock whilst Kauto Star begins preparations for his Cheltenham Gold Cup defence.

Clive Smith’s eight-year-old is in action at Ascot for the Commercial First Ascot Chase on Saturday and will square-off against Monet’s Garden in his last appearance before heading to Cheltenham on March 14 to regain the title he clinched by 2½ lengths in 2007.

Kauto is the hot favourite amongst horse racing betting punters to clinch victory on Saturday with some punters struggling to see where the competition will come from.

Howle Hill, a winner of four of his five chase starts to date, may challenge Kauto and Monet whilst Charlie Egerton’s novice Hobbs Hill who is unbeaten in four races over fences this season.

But Kauto’s presence as overwhelming as horse racing betting favourite has understandably put off many punters and they will find better value at Haydock for the Red Square Vodka Gold Cup.

Miko De Beauchene is the pick of the field in this event for horse racing betting fans, with a form that certainly justifies his placing at the top of the market.

With a lifetime record of two wins and a second from five chase events, Miko certainly has the track record in these events and victory in his last outing at Chepstow in December, horse racing betting punters have reason to be optimistic for Robert and Sally Alner’s eight-year-old.

Leading the chase is likely to be Simon, who comes in a second favourite as well as third favourite Geeveem.

Simon has plenty of experience in chase events, with 16 runs to his name and five victories, three seconds and a third whilst Geeveem, despite only starting five events, has two victories and has only once finished outside the top three.

If you are looking for a decent-looking each-way bet, then King Johns Castle may be worth a punt. In his last six outings, he has finished second on four occasions – can he keep up, or even improve that form this weekend?

Make sure that you place your online horse racing bet this weekend and keep up to date with all the action. Whether you are following then progress of Kauto Star or Miko De Beauchene, make sure that you place your online horse racing bet with Blue Square.
