Big Chance of a Football Betting Upset as Title Race Heats Up
After Fabio Capello named his England squad yesterday, the Premier League’s
home-grown stars will be looking to prove a point in what looks like being
an exciting week for football betting fans.
A number of surprise names were called into Capello’s first squad and they’ll
be looking to impress ahead of Wednesday’s friendly whilst there are several
others (although not a certain Mr Beckham) who will be using this weekend’s
games to prove Fabio wrong.
And aside from proving their international credentials, the Premiership stars have
the added pressure of getting a result in some crucial games in what is proving a
difficult fixture list to call for many football betting fans. Needless to say, there
is sure to be a football betting upset somewhere down the line.
At the top of the table, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all face difficult
away ties whilst towards the lower regions, there are a number of relegation battle
and a North East derby.
The weekend kicks-off as Arsenal travel north to face Manchester City in a clash
which sees second face sixth at the City of Manchester Stadium.
City have been faltering of late, typified with their FA Cup exit at Sheffield United
and their 1-1 draw in midweek against Derby but Sven’s men do remain
unbeaten in the league at home.
The stewards at the C.O.M will inevitably be on full “balloon watch” but
it may not be enough to see a football betting shock against the on-fire Gunners.
If Eriksson can guide his side to a shock result, then it would be a massive favour
to their fierce rivals Manchester United.
United travel in the opposite direction to Arsenal this weekend to face a Tottenham
side looking to exact revenge for their FA Cup defeat six days ago.
Spurs will boast new centre-back Jonathan Woodgate in the starting eleven and he
will have his work cut out to stop Rooney, Ronaldo and Co.
Chelsea are on the south coast and will be preparing to face Jermain Defoe in his
Pompey debut whilst Benjani has been attracting some interest from football betting
fans, even though his future at Fratton Park is in doubt.
At the bottom end of the table, 17th-place Birmingham will be looking to boost their
survival hopes with victory over Derby whilst football betting fans in the north
east are in for a treat, with Kevin Keegan looking to see his first goal in his second
spell as Newcastle manager against Middlesbrough.
With some tough games in prospect, plenty of football betting enthusiasts will be
eyeing up a potential upset. Place your online
