Masters on the horizon for online golf betting fans
The first major of the season is always a treat for online golf betting fans and the Masters dominates the weekend sporting calendar.
Tiger Woods is sure to play a huge part in proceedings and has been, on his few outings so far this season, in tip-top form and is gunning for another Green Jacket at Augusta.
Last year’s winner Phil Mickelson began the season well but has tailed off in recent times and online golf betting fans may want to consider the form of Australian Adam Scott, who tasted victory at the weekend in Houston.
Mickelson won at the same stage 12 months ago before going on to claim his second Masters title and talented youngster Scott will be looking to follow suit.
It is now more than seven years since a European player won a major and Ryder Cup stars such as Luke Donald, Paul Casey and Colin Montgomerie will be looking to emulate Paul Lawrie’s 1999 Carnoustie feat at the Augusta National.
It is surely just a matter of time before such a talented bunch of Europeans claim one of the sport’s big four prizes and online golf betting fans will be watching closely to see how they fare on the lightning fast greens on show at the weekend.
South African Ernie Els has yet to claim a Green Jacket at Augusta but has shown glimpses of his best form in the early part of the year while Fiji veteran Vijay Singh, the winner in 2000, can never been written off.
All eyes will be on Woods, however, as his recent form suggests that he is still on course to beat Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major titles and few would bet against the 31-year-old American adding to his 12 majors at some stage this year.
