Steve, from Telford, is one of Blue Square's most prolific satellite winners, having already won five GUKPT packages this year. He has also recently had live success, winning the Nottingham leg of the GBPT and pocketing a handsome £20,000 prize.

Khayam has been a regular player on Blue Square poker for almost three years. He is mainly a cash game player, but has won satellites to several live events through Blue Square, including the 2005 World Heads Up Championship in Barcelona. Khayam has won two 2007 World Series packages through Blue Square, making the Londoner this year's star qualifier.

Welshman Richard is also another serial online qualifier. Two years ago he won a free seat in the Blackpool Bonanza Festival courtesy of topping the Blue Square monthly league and since then he hasn't looked back. He has also won several seats to GUKPT events but had to miss a few of the early legs due to a knee injury. He is still not fully recovered but will play through the pain in his quest for WSOP glory.

Blue Square's very first sponsored player, the elder statesman of British poker and 2005 European Number One opened his 2007 WSOPO account by cashing in the first event he played - the $1,000 NL Holdem Seniors event. He will be playing in several more side events as well as the $10,000 main event.

GUKPT Bolton winner Praz has been in Vegas since the start of the Series and although he is yet to emulate his 2006 bracelet win, he has already had a number of near misses, most notably a 10th place finish in the $2,000 No Limit Holdem and a 16th spot in the $2,000 Pot Limit Holdem. He is there for the duration of the series and will be playing in several more WSOP events in addition to Bellagio Cup tournaments and Deep Stack events at The Venetian.

The GUKPT Bolton runner up and former Deutsche Bank employee has also been in Vegas since the beginning of this year's Series and has already cashed in two of the side events. However, his best result so far on this trip was a 3rd place finish in a $2,500 No Limit Holdem event in the Bellagio Cup, for which he picked up a tidy $40,000. He has also made the final in one of the Deep Stack tournaments being staged at the Venetian. He is in Vegas for the duration of the Series and will be playing in several more events.

21-year old JP has been in Vegas since the second week of the Series and has already had a couple of impressive finishes with a 16th place finish in the $3,000 No Limit Holdem and a 32nd in the $2,500 No Limit Holdem. He was extremely unlucky in the $3,000 event, where he lost a massive pot with kings versus queens when down to the last two tables. JP is playing in several more events this year, including the main event.

Kevin has just arrived in Vegas and will be playing in a few warn up events before the main event gets underway. With recent final tables in two festivals in Ireland and good results in several UK events earlier in the year, the ex antiques dealer who goes by the online moniker 'Lovejoy' will be hoping his impressive live form continues on the other side of the Atlantic.

22-year old James has been in Vegas for a couple of weeks and although not cashing in any WSOP events so far, the heads up specialist has already chopped two $1,000 events at the Bellagio. He is as yet undecided about whether to play the main event and has booked a return flight for June 30th. However, I'm sure he can be persuaded to stay just a little longer.

The GUKPT Tour Manager is Blue Square's non-playing representative at this year's series. His duties including cheering on the rest of the Blue Square team from the sidelines, writing a daily diary (The Railbird Report) of the happenings in Sin City and generally being a shoulder to cry on when the inevitable happens…7-4 offsuit gets cracked by aces.
