To ensure a fair and honest playing environment, Blue Square has established rules governing player behaviour, handling lost connectivity, how specific situations are addressed, and policies against suspected collusion. Your Screen Name is the identity by which other players can get to know you. Part of the game of poker is about knowing your opponents and how they play; therefore, we do not permit players to change their screen name, except under extraordinary circumstances.

If you experience a broken connection, our software is designed to quickly attempt to reconnect you. The game will wait a reasonable amount of time for your connection to be re-established. It will also alert you, and wait a reasonable amount of time for you, should you experience a slow connection, or a distraction at home. If you cannot or do not respond, the poker room software will treat you as all-in, check you, or fold your hand depending on the state of a hand. You will be marked as sitting-out as well. Of course, it is poor etiquette to deliberately slow a game down.

The virtual poker room offers players the ability to play from the comfort of their own home, or at their local Internet Cafe. It's not necessary to travel to a physical poker room. Along with the convenience of the virtual poker room come some opportunities for the unscrupulous. Rest assured that our Poker Room actively guards against unfair behaviour.

Disconnection protection is in place to protect players should their Internet connection be lost whilst involved in a pot. In the event that a player is disconnected, they will be able to continue in the hand and contest the amount of the pot that they were financially involved in, up to the point of disconnection. Disconnection protection is in place for genuine disconnections only.

Any player who misuses this protection by intentionally disconnecting, may:

• Forfeit any monies won
• Lose Disconnection Protection privileges
• Face expulsion from the site

Players must accept the risk of disconnections. They can and do occur.

In games where the position relative to the dealer can bring advantage, we prevent players from entering and leaving (sitting out) games without having to post the equivalent of the blind. This ensures that there is no financial advantage gained by missing the rotation of the blind.

We do not allow players to use our poker tables to pass funds to other players by deliberately folding re-raised hands in heads up situations or any other such situation that enables intentional passing of funds from one player to another. For security reasons we investigate all incidents of chip passing and accounts will be suspended while such investigations takes place. This is primarily to prevent fraudulent dumping of funds from one account to another but passing of chips in this manner for any reason whatsoever is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply with this rule will result in account suspension and may result in account closure. In the event that an investigation finds that such activity is found to have taken place, any pending withdrawals will be cancelled, and funds retrieved by the poker room.

When a player wins and has more chips than at the start of play, it can be tempting to leave the table, and then immediately return with fewer chips. This is called "reducing" and is not permitted in our poker room. If a player leaves a table they must wait 30 minutes before returning with fewer chips. If they wish to return within the 30 minutes they must sit down with the same amount of chips they left with. There are also situations when a player has lost money and wishes to return to a table he recently left. In this case the same reducing rule applies. Specifically, if a player sits down with 1,000, loses 200 and leaves with 800 he must sit down with 800 if he re-joins the same table within 30 minutes.

There are a few house betting rules you should know:

• Minimum buy-in: we require you to bring at least ten times (10X) the upper value of the stakes to sit down at a table. Pot limit and No limit games have slightly different buy-in requirements, and have a maximum buy-in. See the section on Pot limit and No limit for those details (hyperlink)
• Pot limit and No limit Buy-in Rules: You must bring at least 10 times the Big Blind to the table, and no more than 50 times the Big Blind in these games.
• Minimum Re-buy: You must re-buy at least 5 times the Big Blind. If you don't have sufficient funds in your Blue Square account, you must deposit additional funds. If you don't have sufficient play chips, you may request additional chips in the Cashier view of the Lobby.
• Pot limit and No limit Re-buy Rules: When you re-buy in a pot limit or no limit game, you may not exceed the maximum buy-in/re-buy limit. Because you order more chips during a hand, and those chips are delivered at the end of the hand, you may win chips in that hand. If you win, we will adjust your order so that you do not buy more chips than allowed. If that happens, we will return the excess to your Blue Square account for you.

When you play real money cash (ring) games, the house retains a small portion of the pot, which is known as rake. The amount retained by the house is dependent upon the number of players participating and the table stakes.

These terms and conditions set out the terms that exist between a customer of the Poker Room (herein a "Player") and Blue Square Ltd. References to the "Poker Room" are references to Blue Square Ltd, and it's management team and partners. In addition to accepting these Terms and Conditions, Players acknowledge and agree to be bound by the House Rules and Game Rules of the Poker Room as amended from time to time by the Poker Room.

1. Players acknowledge that the Games may be played "for free" or "for real money". Subject to the powers of the Poker Room to restrict or refuse participation in the Games or to withdraw or suspend Games, participation in the Games is at the option, discretion and risk of the Player. By participating in "real-money" Games, the Player acknowledges and confirms that it is legal to do so in accordance with the laws of the Player's jurisdiction, and that he or she accepts that the Poker Room is unable to provide any warranties as to the legality or otherwise of his or her participation in "real-money" play at the Poker Room.
2. Any controversy or dispute among any Players or between one or more Players and the Poker Room shall be settled by the Poker Room whose decision shall be final and binding in all respects. The Poker Room requires that all controversies or disputes be reported by email.
3. The Poker Room reserves the right to suspend or withdraw any Game in its absolute discretion and/or to add further Games from time to time. The Poker Room also reserves the right to amend the House Rules and/or the basis of play of any Game or relevant Game Rules at any time. In case of any such action, Players will be notified promptly in the 'News' section of the Poker Room site. In the event of the cancellation of any Game for any reason, the Poker Room will not be liable.
4. Players are solely responsible for the security of their account information and password(s). Should a Player inadvertently disclose his or her password to another person, the Player agrees to contact the Poker Room immediately to modify the password. Players are responsible for any unauthorized use of their account and/or password. In the event that a third party places a bet or is thought to have placed a bet wager or stake, such bet wager or stake shall be valid, whether or not the alleged third party had the prior consent or knowledge of the Player or has misappropriated account and password information of the Player. Under no circumstances will any bet wager or stake be cancelled for that reason.
5. Any Player found using multiple clients or found attempting to manipulate or ascertain information concerning the Game software code or involved in collusion, will forfeit all money and be deactivated as a Player. All wagers must be placed through the user interface provided on the Poker Room. Any wagering through other means, including the use of a "robot" player, is strictly forbidden. The Poker Room reserves the right to prohibit any Player from participating in any and all Games, and may, where situations warrant, freeze the chips of any Player suspected of cheating in any form. The Poker Room further reserves the right to restrict seating and/or to prohibit Players from playing in a particular Game, including restricting two or more Players from playing together at the same Game.
6. If a Player had chips at a table during a server crash, the Game will be cancelled and all chips at the table and in play will be returned to the Player's account. In those and all other circumstances, the Poker Room, its affiliates, agents and licensors shall not be liable for any loss resulting from delays or interruptions to play due to failure breakdown malfunction or interruption of electronic or mechanical equipment, telephone internet connection or other communications facilities, or to storms, strikes, walkouts or other causes over which they have no direct control or to loss resulting from erroneous statements or to errors in transmission ("force majeure"). The Poker Room will at all times use reasonable endeavors to overcome any event of such force majeure so far as it can, but does not guarantee its ability to do so.
7. Laws regarding gaming vary throughout the world and Players specifically acknowledge that it is the responsibility of all Players to ensure that they understand and fully comply with any laws or regulations applicable in their own country or state. Players must be at least the age of legal majority or (if higher) over any specified age threshold required to participate in online gaming in or from the jurisdiction in which they reside.
8. Each Player agrees to hold the Poker Room, its employees, officers, directors, licensees, licensors, affiliates, and subsidiaries harmless and further agrees to fully indemnify each and all of them from any and all costs, expenses, liabilities and damages whatsoever that may arise as a result of the Player's (a) entry, use, or reuse of the Poker Room, (b) use of any materials at the Poker Room, (c) participation in any of the Games, or, (d) acceptance of any cash payoff.
9. The Poker Room beyond sharing of data with partners, for internal use only will not divulge personal identity and details of Players. The Poker Room will not sell Player information. The Poker Room will not disclose details of any net winnings or losses, except for accounting and record-keeping purposes. It is the responsibility of each Player to declare to any appropriate authority his or her net winnings or losses, including, if the Player resides in a jurisdiction where winnings are taxable, to keep track of these winnings and report them to the proper authorities.
10. Players must comply with "table stakes" rules as set out by the Poker Room from time to time. In particular, a Player is not permitted to make a wager in excess of the value of chips on the table at the beginning of a hand. Players are permitted to acquire additional chips only between hands. If a Player runs out of chips during a hand, they are considered all-in. Players may not remove money from the table during a playing session. Taking money out of the game and continuing to play is not allowed in a table stakes format.
11. Abusive or offensive language or other behaviour considered inappropriate by the Poker Room in the context of the product will not be tolerated. Bad behaviour or language identified by the Poker Room or brought to its attention will be dealt with swiftly, and may result in a suspension or loss of playing privileges or other such action as may be decided by the Poker Room.
12. No Player may open more than one real money or play money account. Management reserves the right to suspend, terminate or freeze the funds in any duplicate accounts.
13. In order to protect and provide our customers with a safe and secure environment in which to play poker we carry out security procedures and checks to guard against fraud and collusion, ensuring fairness of play at all times. From time to time we will wish to make checks on Player accounts and plays in the game(s) and this may result in suspension of use of accounts whilst these checks are carried out, as well as requests for information from Players. We believe it is in the best interests of Players and ourselves that we operate this process and it is a condition of participation that all Players acknowledge this and co-operate with us in this respect.
14. You must be over 18 years old or of any higher age required by the jurisdiction in which you reside in order to register and play in the Poker Room. Any Player may be credit checked on application in order to prove their legal age. The Poker Room reserves the right to request proof of age documentation from any Player. Accounts may be suspended pending clarification.
15. In the event of a tournament crash, where less than half the players have been eliminated, the tournament will be cancelled and all monies refunded; where more than half the players have been eliminated the prize pool will be divided in half - all players will receive an equal share of half the prize money; and the other half of the prize money will be allocated to the chip leaders (chip leaders will be determined by the number of places the tourney would have paid) in proportion to their chip count.
16. The Poker Room does not support private "deals" between players in tournaments, nor will the Poker Room assist in facilitating these "deals" or be liable in any way for broken "deals" or transactions not honored by one of the parties.
17. Players are asked to refrain from "table talk" or "coffee-housing" or talking during a hand in a way that compromises an opponent's hand. This applies to players playing in the hand or watching the hand. Repeated abuse of this aspect of behaviour will result in suspension or permanent restriction of play.
18. An account will be considered as ‘inactive’ if the account has not logged into the Poker Room at least once for a consecutive 120 days. At the discretion of the Poker Room, an inactive account may have its screen name recycled, and may forfeit any Action Points accrued. The Poker Room is not obliged to give any further justification for this action or notification to the player prior to the account being made inactive, although the Poker Room will attempt to give players 30 days notice.
19. The Poker Room reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Players will be notified promptly of any such amendments. Continued play in the Poker Room after notice of an amendment shall be deemed acceptance of such amendment.
