GUKPT 2010 National League
The National League in 2009 produced more than 10,000 competitors up and down the country and received such good feedback from players that we have decided to run the league again in 2010.
The league provides a competitive stage for players to pit their wits against each other online and in every Grosvenor or G Casino throughout the country in one central competition.
We have made some changes to the league to make it even better, but rest assured the added value remains the same and we are giving away a whopping £100,000 again this year.
This year there will be three leagues each worth £25,000 with an online play off at the end. The remaining £25k will be played for at a fourth live playoff called 'The National Poker League Final' to decide the overall winner and will be played at the GUKPT Champion of Champions event in Coventry in December.
To qualify for the final event at Coventry you must:
- Finish in the top ten of a league or
- Be placed in the top three in one of the play-offs

Customers can play up to eight competitions (five live and three online) a week to qualify for points. Live National League events will take place in Grosvenor and G Casinos up and down the country every Monday - Friday and three online National League events will take place every weekend as follows:

Players who finish in the prize money will earn points as follows:

NB: Players will only earn points if they finish in the prize money. All prize structures are the same across all Grosvenor and G casinos for qualifying events, except GUKPT events.

An updated GUKPT National League Table will be published both online and in clubs every Tuesday during League periods.
At the end of the week, the system will calculate which competitions are your best scoring competitions out of those you competed in and award your points based on your three best results. Every competition you play in will earn you one point, so there are a possible eight points up for grabs each week just for participating.
The Top 100 in each league (excluding the four prize winners) will be eligible for the online play-off. In addition, the top five point scorers at each individual club (outside the Top 100) will also be eligible. Therefore even if you don''t make the National League Top 100 list, you still have a chance to qualify based on your performances at your local Grosvenor or G Casino.
For the purposes of the league, competing online is considered as a club.
A total of £100,000 will be distributed between the three GUKPT National Leagues and the live GUKPT National League final.
The Top 4 finishers in each GUKPT National League will receive prizes as follows:

Players eligible for the Online Playoff must either:
- Finish in the Top 100 of the main League (excluding Top 4 prize winners)
- Finish in the Top 5 points scorers of an individual club. This Top 5 is calculated without any players already in the Top 100 of the main League. Online is considered as a "club".
The GUKPT National League Final hosted during the Champion of Champions Festival, will award £25,000 as follows:
